The Tulip Festival at Tulleys Farm is a celebration of colour, scale, and experience—but behind the scenes, it relies on a carefully engineered power solution to keep everything running smoothly.
Excell Electrical, as the principal service provider, has delivered a fully integrated temporary power system, covering generators, site-wide distribution, and dependable standby cover. Working in partnership with John F Hunt Power, the setup combines robust generation with a smart, efficient approach to energy management.
A key focus has been streamlining the installation. The system has been designed to reduce cable runs, minimise on-site disruption, and improve overall efficiency—resulting in a cleaner, more reliable infrastructure that supports the demands of a large-scale outdoor event.
Battery power also plays an important role in the design. By integrating battery storage, the team optimised generator usage, reducing fuel consumption and noise levels while maintaining consistent performance. It’s a modern solution that balances operational reliability with environmental awareness.
The result is a power infrastructure that works seamlessly in the background—efficient, resilient, and precisely tailored to the needs of the festival—so visitors can focus on enjoying the spectacle of Tulleys Farm’s iconic tulip displays.
