Last weekend Excell provided power for the Palace 2 Palace event, which raises money for the Princes Trust. At the start line at Buckingham Palace in Central London we powered the start Gantry and associated PA and production. This site provides it own challenges as time restrictions and closures mean we have to work to tight schedules. The finish line for the event is at Royal Windsor Racecourse. Here we provided temporary power for all PA, Finish line production and timing and the main stage.
This year also saw The Palace Walk take place simultaneously where nearly 700 entrants followed a 13 mile route past Windsor Castle before joining the long walk and returning to the racecourse via the Thames Path, all timed to coincide with the finishers of the Palace 2 Palace ride in time for the family friendly finish area festivities which included live music, bouncy castle and well deserved massage stations for the competitors.
